- Maturity-onset diabetes of the young – or MODY-monogenic diabetes – is a collection of inherited disorders of non-autoimmune diabetes mellitus.1-3
- MODY-monogenic diabetes is characterised by the onset of hyperglycaemia at an early age, typically before the age of 25.
- This form of diabetes is rare, but diagnosis, treatment, and screening for complications have important implications.
